about

I am a Midlands-born [copy]writer, poet and editor based in Amsterdam.

In 2022 I founded Body Electric, a curated night of music, comedy, and spoken word, with events at locations across Amsterdam including De School, Toekomstmuziek, Cinetol and Droog.

As a copywriter, I’ve worked for a range of agencies across Europe, writing everything from medical device manuals and corporate white papers, to thought-leadership articles, voiceover scripts, and 10-foot high taglines.

I’ve written articles for The Independent, columns for The Amsterdammer, editorials for STUCK Magazine, and theatre reviews for Voice Mag. I’ve had essays published in activist art zines (Cranberry Juice), worked as a researcher for Flatpack Film Festival’s Birmingham ‘68 project, and had pieces I’ve ghostwritten published in ICON and shots.

As a spoken word artist, I’ve performed at and hosted events across the Netherlands, and my poetry has been published by a range of journals and anthologies. I’ve also written pieces for the stage (and podcast), worked as a script editor, and done a the odd bit of voiceover work.

Some may say my work is quite varied. I say, why hire a landscape painter who only knows how to paint trees?

If you fancy having a chat to see how we could work together, I’m always down to grab a coffee.
