I am a Birmingham-born, London-based freelance writer and trainee journalist. I recently graduated from the University of Oxford, having studied English Language and Literature. I am interested in literature and the arts, mental health, the body politic and the politics of bodies.
My writing has been featured at Ramona Magazine, Beat, and The Oxford Student. My poetry has been published by Ink, Sweat & Tears, The Missing Slate and The Kindling. I was a contributor to the experimental poetry project 'Seven Voices', and was chosen to attend The Tower Poetry Summer School in 2016. My poetry was shortlisted for the Martin Starkie Prize 2016 and the Avril Bruten Award 2017.
My work has most profoundly been influenced by my grandmother's dementia and my own anorexia - states of being which continually affect my writing, perspective and motivation to campaign for better mental health treatment and awareness.
